Haptonomy
Haptonomie is the study of affective contact with oneself, with others, and with the world around us. Within haptonomy, affective touch is understood as a natural and essential form of human contact, a way of being present in which one can feel addressed. In this form of contact, mutuality may arise, and the other is invited to move along from within themselves, in their own tempo.

Haptotherapy
Haptotherapy is the therapeutic application of haptonomy. When thinking and feeling fall out of balance, the connection with yourself and your environment can diminish. Haptotherapy supports the gradual restoration of this connection: the ability to feel again and to be present in your body.
Through haptotherapy, you become more aware of how your body responds and what it needs. This renewed bodily awareness can strengthen trust in yourself and in connection with others.
During haptotherapy, we explore what is happening in your life and where you feel stuck. This may express itself through physical or emotional difficulties that affect your daily functioning or sense of balance. The therapy is attuned to your pace. Safety forms the foundation that allows feeling to become accessible again.
When Haptotherapy might support you
​​You may regonise yourself in one or more of the following complaints:
Persistent physical complaints related to tension:
Headaches, migraines, neck, shoulder or back pain.

Stress-related symptoms:
Fatigue, hyperventilation, burnout, difficulty relaxing.

Feelings of being unsafe:
Anxiety, panic, insecurity or insecurity.
Emotional stagnation:
Blocked feelings, depressed, overwhelmed or stuck.

Difficulties in contact and relationships:
Boundaries, intimacy, assertiveness, dependency.
What is to expect is a session
​Each session begins by taking a moment to arrive.
We start with how you are in this moment. What is present now, what has stayed with you since the last session, or what feels important to bring in.
From there, the session unfolds in contact. Through conversation, silence, sensing, and sometimes touch or movement, attention is brought to how you experience yourself.
Rather than analysing or explaining, we explore what becomes felt.
This may offer insight into how you move through life, how you relate, and where you hold back or lose contact with yourself. Sessions are guided by what shows itself in the moment, at a pace that feels appropriate.​
